TWL Live - Special Guest : Sanal Edamaruku

Sanal Edamaruku is the founder-president of Rationalist International. He is also the president of the Indian Rationalist Association. He is the editor of the internet publication Rationalist International, author of 25 books and numerous articles.

On 3 March 2008, while appearing on a panel TV show, Sanal Edamaruku challenged a tantrik to demonstrate his powers on him by killing him using only magic. The tantrik chanted mantras and performed a ceremony to kill Sanal Edamaruku on live TV. India TV received a large boost in ratings while this was occurring. After his attempts failed the tantrik reported that Edamaruku must be under the protection of a powerful god, to which Edamaruku responded that he is an atheist

In 2012 he was charged with hurting religious sentiments for his role in examining a claimed miracle at a local Catholic Church.

Some of them will be addressed in Part 2. Others, well... I'll never be able to cover *every* stupid claim, so we'll see if there will ever be a Part 3. Bottom line is, there is no alternative to the official story, except in the minds of people with no clue what the hell they're talking about, and who start out with the conclusion that the US government *must* have been behind it. Bonus - Kitch Responds to a Suspected Troll

Kitch responds to an interesting PM.

Video description:
PM: Public TV programs, educational policy statements, and science textbooks have asserted that Darwin's theory of evolution fully explains the complexity of living things. The public has been assured, most recently by spokespersons for PBS's Evolution series, that "all known scientific evidence supports [Darwinian] evolution" as does "virtually every reputable scientist in the world." The following scientists dispute the first claim and stand as living testimony in contradiction to the second. There is scientific dissent to Darwinism. It deserves to be heard.

Michael Nugent (born 1 June 1961) is an Irish writer and activist. He has written three books, co-written two and was one of the three writers of comedy musical play I, Keano. He has campaigned on many political issues, often with his late wife Anne Holliday, and he is chairperson of the advocacy group Atheist Ireland.
